Benicio Junior, P.Eng.

Benicio has over twenty years of experience in hydrotechnical and geotechnical analysis. He specializes in hydrological-hydraulic and geotechnical studies, seepage/stability, stress and strain, external and internal drainage, and instrumentation design. Benicio participated in the drafting of several emergency response plans of mining dams in accordance with Brazilian legislation and dam safety plans. Benicio has extensive experience with hypothetical dam break studies, including failure hydrograph definition, hydrograph propagation considering hyper concentrated fluids, thematic maps and stop criterion.

Education

Benicio has a B.A.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Universidade FUMEC in Belo Horizonte, where he continued onto post-graduate studies in Systems, Analysis, Information and Business. Benicio is registered with the Regional Engineering Council of Minas Gerais State.

Fun Fact

Thanks to his four dogs, Benicio has become quite the dog whisperer. His daughter has continued the family past-time, working with horses as she taken up equestrian.
