Michael Cyr announced as CDA President at 2022 Conference and Tradeshow

Michael Cyr, P.Eng. has been appointed the new President for the Canadian Dam Association (CDA). The announcement was made on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 during the AGM Breakfast of the 2022 CDA Conference & Tradeshow held in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.
He has been an active member of the CDA, serving the association in various positions including Director of New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, Director at Large, and Vice President, since 2013. Michael has been actively involved with the Fredericton Conference Organizing Committee since 2011, started the young professionals committee in 2014, and is part of the Mining Dams Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, and Risk Assessment Working Group.
Michael is a Geotechnical Engineer and Associate based in KCB’s Fredericton office. He has over 17 years of experience in geotechnical and environmental engineering and has been involved in dam safety reviews and dam safety inspections, dyke/dam design, geotechnical investigations, construction supervision, dam safety and operational risk assessments for the mining industry.
