Brett Stephens, M.Sc., P.Eng., has been appointed a Principal with the firm. Brett is the Manager of the Oil Sands Group in KCB’s Alberta business unit. Brett oversees a group of 60 engineers and scientists who design and manage construction of large waste management facilities for oil sands clients. His work has included the implementation of slurry wall technology in the Fort McMurray region as part of integrated seepage management systems for tailings impoundments. |

Chris Dickinson, RPGeo., has been appointed a Principal with the firm. Chris is the Regional Manager for our Australasian operations, and as a Senior Hydrogeologist has had project involvement with numerous mining projects in Australia, Asia, the Pacific and Canada. |

Simon Douglas, P.Eng., has been appointed an Associate. Simon is a Senior Civil Engineer in KCB’s Power & Transportation Group where he is currently working on BC Hydro’s Site C hydro project as KCB’s project engineer and one of the project’s team leaders. Prior to Site C, Simon was a key member of the design team on Puget Sound Energy’s Snoqualmie hydro project in Washington State and the 1070 MW Nam Theun 2 hydro project in Laos. |

Rob Charron, P.Eng., has been appointed an Associate. Rob is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in KCB’s Alberta business unit responsible for the design and construction of oil sands tailings facilities and their associated civil infrastructure. Rob currently manages our geotechnical design services to Suncor Energy on their South Tailings Pond and the North Steepbank Extension Mine projects. |

Gerrad Suter, MIEAust, is an Associate with the firm and the Brisbane office manager. Gerrad leads several major mine waste geotechnical projects in Australia and Asia, and has considerable experience with the challenging equatorial environments of PNG and the Philippines. |

Chris Strachotta, B.App.Sci., has been appointed an Associate with the firm. In his role as Manager Water Projects, Chris manages a range of complementing services (hydrogeology, hydrology, geochemistry) in a broad variety of mining environments in Australia and internationally. |
