KCB Retains as a Best Managed Company for the 16th Year
May 9, 2024
KCB celebrates a monumental achievement as a winner of the 2024 Canada's Best Managed Companies Platinum Club designation. Retaining this status for the 16th consecutive year showcases our unwavering excellence in business performance, sustainable growth, and leadership across strategy, innovation, and corporate culture. This accolade reaffirms our longstanding commitment to upholding the highest standards of management and financial practices, distinguishing us in the competitive landscape of the engineering sector.
“Winning the Best Managed Company award for the 16th consecutive year is a profound honour that reflects the talent and dedication of our team, who have navigated challenges with resilience and dedication to the communities we serve,” said Ryan Douglas, KCB President & CEO.
Despite facing the global challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic and the tight competition for skilled professionals, KCB has not wavered in its commitment to growth and excellence. Our proactive engagement with young professionals, alongside our global workforce expansion, underscores our innovative approaches to employee engagement and talent development. Our strategic focus remains steadfast on delivering outstanding client service, fostering a dynamic and inclusive workplace culture, and contributing positively to our communities.
Among the reasons cited for Klohn Crippen Berger’s selection include:
- Carefully selecting and working with clients who understand the value of engineering, geoscience, and environmental services.
- Selling our experience and services across diverse industry sectors.
- Fostering long-lasting client relationships as trusted advisors.
- Governing our business using an integrated management system for health and safety, quality, and managing the impacts of our consulting service on the environment.
Our commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion remains stronger than ever. We strive to cultivate a respectful and equitable workplace, with an ongoing commitment to making our employees, clients, and communities feel valued and respected. This commitment is exemplified in our business growth and the expansion of our geographical footprint.
We've celebrated the successful growth of our Latin American operations with the relocation of our Ecuador office to Cuenca, now boasting eight full-time staff. Additionally, our UK office has expanded to include 13 full-time employees, and we've laid the foundation for further Europe expansions with the establishment of a new entity in Ireland. The first Ireland-based employee joined us in September, signifying a strategic move to bolster our European presence and support our current and future project workload.
Looking ahead, KCB is dedicated to further integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into our business model. This commitment not only reflects our role in combating climate change but also underscores our dedication to responsible business practices and sustainable development. As KCB continues to grow and adapt to the changing needs of the engineering industry, our focus on excellence, innovation, and sustainability positions us as an employer of choice for talented professionals and a trusted partner to our clients. We are proud to celebrate this achievement and are committed to continuing our legacy of excellence in the years to come.
