KCB Chair Brian T. Rogers Retires after 30 Years
June 23, 2022
Following a career of over 30 years with the company, Klohn Crippen Berger (KCB) announces the retirement of KCB Principal and Chair of the Board of Directors, Brian T. Rogers, M.Sc., P.Eng.
Brian began his career with KCB in 1991 and has worked on projects across Canada, Russia, and the Middle East. This project experience included the design and construction of water-retaining dams, irrigation projects, transportation and infrastructure projects, tailings dams, mine waste rock disposal schemes, and arctic offshore hydrocarbon developments.
He was promoted to Manager, Alberta in 2000, and Vice President, Alberta in 2006. Under his leadership, he contributed greatly to the success of the business unit by improving KCB’s positioning in the dam, water infrastructure, oil and gas, and oil sands sectors, and by helping grow its regional presence with the acquisitions of IEG Energy, Mack, Slack & Associates, and Ecomark.
For the past 4 years, as the Chair of the Board of Directors, Brian helped guide KCB’s overall strategy, shepherding its vision, mission, and purpose and successfully leading the succession search for KCB’s new President and CEO.
Over his career Brian has received numerous accolades, including the 2021 CyGS Award and 2022 Fellowship into the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC).
“An incredible 30 years with KCB, so many varied projects, and best of all, working with client staff and all my colleagues as we grew the business. It has been a very rewarding career, and I look forward to hearing about KCB’s continued project successes and company growth in the future,” said Brian T. Rogers.
"Brian is the consummate KCB’er who has contributed to our organization’s growth and success at every level of responsibility. His influence on the company culture, which a 72-year-old company like ours values immeasurably, has been felt across our global operations. I want to thank Brian for everything he has done for KCB over his three decades of service and wish him the best in his well-deserved 'retirement'," said Ryan Douglas, KCB President.
