Andrew Witte Joins MAC Tailings Working Group

Andrew Witte, P.Eng., M.Eng., has joined the Mining Association of Canada’s (MAC) Tailings Working Group (TWG). Andrew is a Geotechnical Engineer and Associate based in KCB’s Vancouver office. He has over 17 years of experience in geotechnical and water resources engineering on a variety of mining, infrastructure, municipal, and industrial-related projects. As an Engineer of Record (EoR) on several tailings storage facilities, he will bring a practical perspective in dam safety management.

MAC works alongside their members to promote the mining industry nationally and internationally. They also work with governments on policies affecting the sector and educates the public on the value mining brings to the economy and the daily life of Canadians. MAC continues to review and update their Tailings Management Guidelines in consideration of the recently published Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management.

Andrew is excited to join the MAC TWG and be part of this process of continual improvement.
