We are proud to announce that Klohn Crippen Berger (KCB) is carbon neutral for 2021.
For a second year, KCB has partnered with climate and sustainable development expert,
ClimateCare, to offset carbon emissions associated with the company’s air travel. This year we will also be offsetting carbon emissions from our global operations. The on-going partnership reflects KCB’s continued
commitment to sustainability in our business practices.
“I believe when the world can look back on the current decade, climate change will be seen as the major challenge of our time and we will be judged on how we reacted as individuals and companies. I am proud that in addition to our world-class capabilities in hydropower and sustainable development, we are doing our part to mitigate our carbon footprint,” says Len Murray, KCB President & CEO.
Through our partnership with ClimateCare, KCB is investing in projects that not only cut carbon emissions and tackle climate change but improve the lives of people around the world. The projects include two world-leading clean cooking projects,
Gyapa Cookstoves in Ghana and
Burn Cookstoves in Kenya,
Bondhu Chula Cookstoves in Bangladesh, and
wind and
solar energy projects in India.
ClimateCare’s Director of Partnerships, Robert Stevens explains: "We work with forward-thinking organisations to turn their climate responsibilities into positive outcomes. Our trademark Climate+Care approach helps organisations take a smart approach to addressing their environmental impacts by offsetting their carbon emissions through projects which also support sustainable development”.
