Who We Are
Klohn Crippen Berger (KCB) is an engineering, geoscience, and environmental consulting firm with offices in Canada, US, UK, Peru, Brazil, and Australia. We are involved in some of the largest, most complex engineering and geoscience projects around the world. We’re proud that our client relationships have spanned decades and last as long as our structures. Our client relationships begin with thorough exploratory work, solid design and an unwavering commitment to implementing the right solution for every project. As a leading consulting firm, we have confidence in our work because our professionals balance their technical acumen with practical solutions, and an eye towards innovation – and our clients in the hydropower, mining, transportation, infrastructure and energy sectors continue to see the benefits.
Our commitment to excellence is the driving force behind everything we do and, as a result, we are the recipient of over 50 national and international awards for major projects. Our Company Charter defines who we are and what we do. It is the moral compass that guides our daily work.
Strong Foundations
Our founders were mentored by pioneers in soil mechanics, such as Karl Terzaghi and Arthur Casagrande, and their technical excellence and discipline has served us well. We lead the way in the geotechnical, civil and structural designs of bridges, hydropower dams, water reservoir structures, and mining or tailings dams, and our leadership helps define the standards by which our industry operates through a commitment to quality.
Since our start in the 1950s, we’ve sought sustainable options in our professional practice and advise our clients on opportunities to incorporate sustainability into their projects. Our commitment to the health and safety of our employees, clients and communities is paramount. It’s one of the reasons why we’ve earned the trust of our clients, our staff and those with whom we work.
