Bill Chin receives EIC Fellowship

Congratulations to Bill Chin, Senior Geotechnical Engineer and Principal at Klohn Crippen Berger, for being awarded an Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC) Fellowship for "excellence in engineering and services to the profession and to society".
Bill was nominated by Wayne Carlson, Chair of Awards Committee, Canadian Dam Association, and endorsed by Garry Bucharski, Director Infrastructure Support, Operations Infrastructure, Alberta Environment and Parks, Dr. Norbert Morgenstern, Distinguished University Professor Emeritus, Geotechnical, University of Alberta, and Bryan Watts, Chairman, Klohn Crippen Berger.
Bill is a geotechnical engineer with over 35 years of experience in the investigation, design, construction and safety evaluations of major earthfill dams for water and tailings storage. His geotechnical practice extends over several industry sectors, including water resources, mining, oil sands, and hydroelectric. He was actively involved in preparing the geotechnical sections of the CDA's Dam Safety Guidelines in 1995 and 1999, and has continued to be an active member of the CDA.
