Robert is a Senior Civil Engineer with over 30 years of experience in the civil, water resources and municipal engineering fields. Robert has delivered on all phases of a project lifecycle from planning studies through to construction. His project experience includes: civil design, dam safety and dam breach inundation studies, hydrotechnical analysis for river and urban drainage systems, mine water management, linear infrastructure inspections and design, stormwater infrastructure and hydraulic structures design, management of multidisciplinary projects, provision of environmental services and regulatory approvals. Robert is responsible for managing and coordinating projects for municipal, governmental and private clients, developing conceptual and feasibility designs, preparing design documentation and reports, and providing support during construction.

Key Projects

Rob’s key projects include the Hanson Ranch Stormwater Management Facility, Bow Bottom Trail Dry Pond, Downtown Flood Barrier design, Glenmore Dam Breach Inundation Study, Stormwater Infrastructure Program for City of Calgary Operations Department, Discovery Ridge Dam, and Outfall Repairs and Upgrades Program.

Education

Robert holds a B.Eng. (Hons.) in Civil Engineering. He is registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta, Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan, and Professional Engineers Ontario. Robert is also Graduate Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers.

Fun Fact

One of the reasons why Robert went into civil engineering was to see the world. After periods of time in the UK, Southeast Asia, New Zealand, and Australia, Robert settled down in Calgary.
