Emma has over twenty years of experience in the field of engineering geology and geotechnics in the consulting industry, gained from both the Canadian mining sector and the multidisciplinary engineering sector within the UK. Her experience includes construction supervision (QA/QC), earthworks, tailings dam design and dam safety, site characterization and geotechnical design, on a wide variety of mining, land development, highways, flood defense, and infrastructure projects. She is experienced in project management, budget control and bid writing.

She is also the Geospatial Team Manager and MEG Technical Lead at KCB. Through these roles, she champions technology and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Projects

Emma’s key projects includes the Highland Valley Copper Site and the Copper Mountain Mine site, both located in the British Columbia Interior.

Education

Emma has a B.Sc. (Hons) in Geology and Geography from the University of Birmingham and a M.Sc. in Engineering Geology from the University of Leeds. She is a registered Professional Engineer with the Engineers and Geoscientist of British Columbia.

Emma has a passion for home and garden improvements, learnt from her Dad and renovating a Victorian house in the UK.
