Bruno is a civil engineer originating from France with more than 31 years of international experience relating to hydroelectric projects. His area of expertise is in feasibility through detail design engineering, including several field resident engineering assignments in Kenya, Africa, Asia, and North America. Bruno also has extensive experience in and has solid knowledge of all areas relating to a hydroelectric project, including leading project teams and coordinating multidisciplinary activities including environmental services. His certificate in Mountain Guiding enables him to perform inspections and site visits in rugged and steep terrain.

Key Projects

Bruno’s key projects include the Ituango Project in Colombia, the Nam Theun Project in Laos, The Katse Arch Dam Project in Lesotho, the Snoqualmie Falls project in the US and the Nechako Reservoir Project in Northern BC.

Education

Started his education in France with a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Institut Universitaire de Technologie (IUT) Grenoble, France, 1982. Bruno also completed his ENSA Chamonix, France 1981-1987. Guide de Haute Montagne (Mountain Guide) while completing his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering (Co-op Program) - University of Sherbrooke, Montréal, 1987. As part of the Associate program, he completed the ASFE – Fundamentals of Professional Practice – Completed in 2009 (Denver, USA).

Fun Fact

Bruno attributes his passion for engineering to his father, an electromechanical engineer. Bruno fondly remembers accompanying his father on one of his projects in Sri Lanka as a child. This experience, along with his father's ability to balance family time, fun, site and office work have influenced his own career path.
