Andrew has worked on various hydrotechnical and civil design and construction monitoring projects in British Columbia, across Canada and Namibia in the past 20 years. His experience includes the design of hydraulic structures for dams and hydro facilities; assessment of dam safety and public safety around dams; various civil designs including municipal infrastructure and drainage; and compilation of engineering reports such as options assessments, feasibility studies and investigative reports. He has prepared tender documents, evaluated contractor bids and acted as Owner’s Representative on a range of construction projects. He has successfully managed various assignments including dam safety reviews, design projects, construction monitoring projects, investigative reports and public safety and security assessments for dams.
Key Projects
Andrew’s key projects include the South River Dam Safety Review in Ontario, the Strathcona Dam Low Level Outlet, the Salmon River Dam Decommissioning, and various dam replacement/rehabilitation projects for First Nations in British Columbia.
Education
Andrew has a BSc. Eng. (Civil) from the University of Cape Town. He is a Registered Professional Engineer with the Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (P. Eng.), and Professional Engineers Ontario (P. Eng.).
Fun Fact
Andrew spent the first 13 years of his Canadian career in Vancouver, before moving to Ontario in 2022 to develop and grow P&T’s office in Toronto. He has a full pot of fresh coffee and doughnuts on standby for anyone who wants to visit.
