KCB President and CEO Fellow of The Engineering Institute of Canada (FEIC)

We are pleased to announce that our President and CEO, Ryan Douglas, has been awarded the title of Fellow of The Engineering Institute of Canada (FEIC). This prestigious designation recognizes exceptional contributions to engineering in Canada.

Since becoming President and CEO of KCB in January 2022, Ryan has guided the firm through a period of remarkable growth and global recognition. He has provided clear, strategic direction focused on client service, talent development, and international expansion.

Throughout his career, Ryan has played a key role in major dam and hydroelectric projects both in Canada and abroad. He currently leads the John Hart Dam Seismic Upgrade Project, contributed to the Site C Clean Energy Project, and supported the Arrow Lakes, Waneta and Brilliant hydroelectric project developments for Columbia Power Corporation. Internationally, he served as Design Manager for the 1,100 MW Nam Theun 2 Hydroelectric Project in Laos, project managed the Snoqualmie Falls Redevelopment in Washington State, USA, and worked on the design and construction support of the 100m high RCC Dam for the Balambano Hydroelectric Project in Indonesia.

Beyond his technical and business leadership, Ryan is a strong advocate for KCB’s People-First culture that prioritizes safety, mental wellness, and community engagement. This FEIC recognition reflects Ryan’s commitment to technical excellence, responsible leadership, and the advancement of Canadian engineering.
